Do you guys know if Eharmony is good? Have you ever tried this site? Any others you like? I'm thinking of trying this one.

Well, there's always
http://www.adultfriendfinder.com
This site is for adults only, of course, and is good for hookups. It also has various groups covering a wide range of topics. If you ignore the weirdos and play it safe, it's a good option. I've met a few very good friends there. For a longterm and perhaps a less sexually-oriented site, there's
http://www.friendfinder.com
I haven't gone there, but I'm assuming they're the same, just more serious and toned down. There's also
http://www.okcupid.com
It's a good site but it can be a bit tricky to find people. However, it's lots of fun and has quizzes and a huge list of questions that helps you narrow down your search. You can answer as few or as many as you want. I don't think you have to be over 18 to join either but I could be wrong. If you're adventurous in writing and don't want a conventional dating site, try
http://www.craigslist.org
There are different sections for different things, including hookups, romantic/ltr and strictly platonic (friends only). to be honest, this is where I found my boyfriend. It's a wonderful place. The usual rules about safety apply, especially cause they don't monitor exchanges between people and unlike all the other dating sites, once you reply to an email, they will see your actual email address. So you might want to create one just for that.

I know a lot of people just go on OKCupid for the quizzes. There're some pretty interesting ones.
As for www.EHarmony.com unless I'm remembering incorrectly I think you have to be 21 to use it. (that or you'd have to fudge your age.)

What dating site you use tends to depend on what you want out of a relationship. Some sites are more just for hook-ups. Sites like EHarmoney are aimed at people who are looking for a long-term committed relationship. I personally liked EHarmony when I used it. It seems the most trustworthy of the sites. Some dislike it because it gives you matches rather than letting you freely browse profiles. I can understand that, but I'd rather have the security of a site I feel I could trust.

let me warn everyone that Eharmony has some serious religious right leanings, so much so that as far as i know they do not offer any resources for homosexuals. I've browsed Craigs List to little luck but who knows. I'm on the fence on these sorts of things really, so look but don't ever actually do anything with them

Meeting in person by chance is so much better than dating sites. So, If I were you just keep things natural and don't use dating sites to start something.

I met my boyfriend on an internet relay chat server for the blind. After a day of talking to him, we were best friends. It was almost best friends at first sight! We were deeply connected after a month or so, and after 3 months, we were so totally in love! Now, after five months of good times, and some hard times, we're each other's equal. I tried the treditional method of meeting a guy at school. It worked for a period of time, but I realized we had little in common. Dating methods may work differently for different people. It's all up to you. Dating online may not be adiquit for some, but that was the best thing that happened since I met my best friend 2 years ago.
